Pathetic, sniveling cowards! All of them!
I refer, of course, to the birds in my back yard. Not a one of them wants to be petted. Not a single one!
I even tossed a baseball at them, politely offering them a quick game of fetch. But did any of them bother to return it?
What do you think? Flew off. Every last one of them flew off.
The upstairs neighbor’s dog and I just stood there and looked at them. Amazed.

Supercool links! Thank you!
Looks like the only ones with time to cry about it always were afraid to look?
Yes, Both the Magistrate and the judge were afraid to look.
Are you talking about the court case, Curtis?
Heh. If you called a mockingbird a sniveling coward, it would clean your clock. I’m serious. Those little guys are aggressive!
Indeed! And noisy to boot!
Birds clearly have their own agenda and are not to be trusted under any circumstances.
To those who would say otherwise, Brett, I say, “Check out Alfred Hitchcock’s definitive work on bird psychology!”
I’ll have a little talk with those birds, Paul.
Would you, please? That would be so kind of you. I am especially alarmed they won’t play fetch.
