An “E for Excellent Award” for Usha

This morning, I am taking the liberty of slapping an “E for Excellent Award” on Usha’s blog, Ageless Bonding.

In more than one way, Usha is the wise old woman of the net. In the first place, she began blogging in 2003 — which is much earlier than most of us — and establishes her as an “old blogger”. Yet, much more importantly, Usha offers her readers a timeless wisdom that transcends her own country and society and takes on an universal aspect. She also embodies a positive, good humored approach to living — which is often enough a mark of the very wise among us.

Her wisdom alone would be adequate reason to slap an “E for Excellent Award” on her blog. But she is also a great writer. She has a talent for coming up with new and vivid ways to describe things, and her prose is as clear and unaffected as a child’s eyes.

Finally, I would like to make special mention of the fact that Usha’s comments on other people’s blogs are quite often gems as precious as the blog articles she is commenting on. If there were an award for excellent commenters, she would deserve it.

For those and other reasons, I am especially proud this morning to display my exceptional good taste in foisting on her the “E for Excellence Award”.
